As the GMMP coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe, we are especially proud to bring regional perspectives into this global dialogue on ending gender-based violence in media and digital spaces at the session “Justice and Ending Gender Violence in Offline and Digital Media”. This was a parallel event at the NGO CSW70 Forum, organised by WACC Global, together with the network of the Global Media Monitoring Project #GMMP and the @Global Alliance on Gender and Media.
As emphasized during the panel, harmful narratives, under-reporting, and digital abuse continue to silence women and reinforce inequality, making systemic change and accountability more critical than ever.
